I have worked with authors for 17 years and I love – and have loved – every minute. My biggest challenge has been to teach and show authors that everything they do is marketing. Marketing is building relationships. I just read this blog post from Jeff Goins, Jeff Goins blog post/ that demonstrates what I have said for years. Thank you Jeff Goins for your words of wisdom.

For the longest time, I despised marketing. Couldn’t stand it. It just felt like pure dishonesty. I felt this way long before ever becoming a writer. Little did I know that just about everything I did was marketing.

Jeff Goins is a writer

Author Marketing

Everything authors do is marketing

Jeff is a bestselling author – a New York Times bestselling author. Everything he says is golden. In this blog post, he talks about “What is Marketing.” He explains that marketing is very different today and every author is a marketer.

Marketing is the spreading of ideas. Plain and simple. If you spread ideas, you’re a marketer. You may also be a CEO or an artist or a plumber. But you are also a marketer.

Read this entire blog post to see what marketing is for authors – and what it is not. Everything is marketing.

Here is a link to the complete article. Everything is Marketing.

Thank you Jeff Goins for this timely article for authors.
