Creating Change and Discomfort
Just so everyone knows, I am participating in a 5-day challenge with Kelly McCausey and the “Love People and Make Money” group. Kelly’s challenge to each of us is to post a curated blog each day for five days – December 17 – 21. This is Day 3.
First of all, Am I crazy? I have everything to do that I always have to do each week. I am creating a 12 Days of Holiday Giving campaign for my clients and those in the membership group – Through the Eyes of Authors. I am preparing for a house full of guests, all coming in this weekend for Christmas. So, now I am on Day 3 of this 5-day challenge. I am loving it.
I am excited to see where my journey takes me when I go to look for an appropriate blog to curate. I chose author blogs – duh! First was Jeff Goins and his blog, ?????. Yesterday was Joanna Penn talking about having a routine in the way you write, so you could go wild and crazy in what you write.
Then, today in my Inbox, I get this blog post from my friend Judith Briles. It is all about change and being uncomfortable. As a writer, does your topic make you uncomfortable? What kinds of change have you experienced when writing or as a result of writing.
If the intent of your words is to provoke change, you’ll be creating discomfort for some. Guaranteed.
I can’t wait to share this post with my peeps. I want to hear from you. Go read the entire article. It will really make you stop and think. The Discomfort of Change
