As a business owner, I’m sure you want people to know about your business, product or service.  How are you getting the word out to the masses?  Do you have a plan?  In a previous post, 9 Brilliant Marketing Strategies, I gave you some great ideas to include in your PR and marketing.

Below are a few more ideas to help you get noticed and be known.

1. Create a compelling email signature

Include your contact info and a call to action in your signature.  You can even include your logo or a picture of yourself.

2. Create and distribute free videos onto YouTube and the other video sharing sites

You can show how your product works, or educate customers on how to do something.   Make it worth their time to watch your video and then share it for free.   YouTube, Facebook, on your web pages, anywhere your customers can view it is great.   Video currently is all the rage and you are missing out if you don’t use this to get your name in front of your customers.

3. Create an “interview” script for bloggers or podcasters to interview you

Create a script with questions you would be comfortable answering and keep them on hand for when you are invited to be a guest on a blog interview or podcast.  This makes the podcaster or blogger’s life easier and you will look and sound like the expert.

4. Add promos to the “thank you” pages of your other products

When you send customers to a thank you page, don’t just thank them, include additional products they might be interested in.

5. Work on search engine optimization (SEO)

Make sure you include key works on all your pages and in your ads.  Make it easy for people to find you when they are searching.

BONUS IDEA – Write testimonials for others mentioning your URL

When you write a testimonial for others, be sure to include your URL and/or social media information.  This helps others find you and your products or service.  You would be surprised how many people click on web page links via testimonials.

All of these might not appeal to you.  Pick one or two and run with it.  Add more as you gain momentum.  Getting the word out about your product or service is not difficult, just takes a bit of time and sometimes some creative thinking.
